Minister Pakdemirli visits Yunus Emre Institute's Kiev branch

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli has paid a visit to Yunus Emre Institute's Kiev branch as part of his official visit to Ukraine.

Flying to Ukraine at the invitation of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Minister Pakdemirli was accompanied by Ambassador of Turkey to Kiev Yönet Can Tezel and the Turkish delegation in his visit to the Institute. During the visit, Pakdemirli was briefed by Institute Director Dr. Ender Korkmaz about the activities conducted since the establishment of the branch.

Pakdemirli toured inside the Institute's building and examined the sample artifacts of traditional Turkish arts and crafts. Then, he signed the Institute's book of honor.

"Today, we have paid a visit to Yunus Emre Institute's Kiev branch as part of our official visit to Kiev, Ukraine. The Institute plays an extremely important role in promoting our ancestors, country, culture and religion and become all the more crucial in the wake of the tragic events that have recently hit our country and nation. The briefing about the activities at the Institute has made us feel proud. I reiterate that our government will continue to lend support to such activities abroad, and I pray God for the continuation of your successful work," he wrote.
