​Yunus Emre Institute continues to expand

Yunus Emre Institute had added up a new representation office to its portfolio of 56 culture centers in 46 countries and liaison offices in 70 universities around the world. A liaison office for Yunus Emre Institute will be opened at Trinity College Dublin, one of the world's most influential 100 universities. 

Yunus Emre Institute liaison office will be inaugurated on November 6, 2018 under the academic cooperation protocol signed between Yunus Emre Institute and Trinity College Dublin in February this year.

Trinity College Dublin is one of the most reputable universities around the world and the office that will be established at the university will pave the way for bringing the communities closer through active promotion of the Turkish language and cultural history.

"Voices from Istanbul" to echo in Dublin

The band "Istanbul Soloists" will give a concert on Monday, November 5 within the framework of the opening ceremony of the liaison office at Trinity College Dublin.

The band members are Derya Türkan, Dilek Türkan, Atilla Akıntürk, Murat Salim Tokaç and Fahrettin Yarkın, who perform songs from the deep-rooted Turkish music with their virtuosity, and they will bring the sound of Istanbul to the enjoyment by Dubliners.

A conference on Turkey at Trinity

The first meeting of the Turkey conference, which will be held annually in compliance with the protocol signed between Yunus Emre Institute and Trinity College Dublin, will be made on the opening day.

Prof. Dr. Metin Kunt, a retired faculty member of the University of Cambridge, will deliver a speech on the Ottoman culture of books and writing, at the conference which will officially kick off Yunus Emre Institute liaison office.
