Under the auspices of the Turkish Embassy in Skopje, "Towards the 100^th Anniversary of the Republic Program" will be held by Skopje Yunus Emre Institute in the cities of Skopje and Bitola, North Macedonia, on 29-30 October 2021.

The program will start at the Turkish Embassy in Skopje on Friday, 29 October. Hasan Mehmet Sekizkök, Turkish Ambassador to Skopje, and Prof. Şeref Ateş, President of Yunus Emre Institute, will address the audience.

Following the program at the Turkish Embassy in Skopje, a delegation of MPs and press members from Turkey visiting North Macedonia will attend a performance to be held at Tefeyyüz Elementary School on the occasion of the 29 October Republic Day. After the show, the photo exhibition "From Atatürk to the Republic" with 57 photographs obtained from the Archive of the Ministry of National Defense will be opened at the North Macedonia War of Independence Museum. The exhibition will feature an exclusive selection of photographs, including those depicting the educational, industrial and scientific reforms by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who grew up in North Macedonia, as well as his domestic trips, the institutions and organizations he opened, and his meetings with foreign mission representatives.

"REVOLUTIONS OF ATATÜRK AND THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE REPUBLIC" CONFERENCE

After the exhibition, at 3 pm, Prof. Yasemin Doğaner from the Institute of Atatürk’s Principles and History of Turkish Revolution at Hacettepe University will deliver a conference titled "Revolutions of Atatürk and the Achievements of the Republic", which will focus on the "Turkish modernization" that has left its mark on our history for more than two centuries.

ATATÜRK'S FAVORITE FOLK SONGS AND MEALS FROM RUMELIA

The event series will continue with the performance of Elena Hristova, a North Macedonian artist who is popular in the Balkans and Europe. She will sing the Rumelia folk songs Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk loved at the North Macedonia Philharmonic Hall between 5.30-7.00 pm.

As the last event of the 29 October Republic Day celebrations, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s favorite Rumelia dishes will be served to the guests at 7.00 pm.

The delegation from Turkey will visit the Atatürk Memorial House and Atatürk Memorial Room on Sunday, 30 October 2021, as part of their visit to Kodžadžik, Ohri, Bitola and Veles.
