A collaboration agreement was signed between Berlin Yunus Emre Institute (YEI) and the German Johanna-Eck School.
With the agreement signed by Berlin Yunus Emre Institute on April 3rd, 2022, Coordinator Feyzullah Bahçi and Johanna-Eck School Principal Engin Çatık, Yunus Emre Institute will provide educational materials for Turkish lessons that will support Turkish Proficiency Exam (TYS) and Placement Tests (PTs).
Bahçi said that they had doubled the number of schools they collaborated with in Berlin and would increase this number even more in the next term.
Expressing his happiness for having signed the agreement, Bahçi said, ‘’We will provide the educational materials for those who take Turkish lessons at school. We will also give a seminar to Turkish teachers teaching at school once a year.’’
THE SECOND LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY REQUIRED FOR HIGH SCHOOL IN GERMANY WILL BE PROVIDED WITH THE TYS CERTIFICATE
Bahçi stated that they would issue a Turkish certificate with international validity as a result of TYS and PTs and said, ‘’With this certificate, we will provide the second language proficiency required for admission to high school in Germany. It will be a good development for students as well.’’
Drawing attention to the fact that Turkish as a mother tongue should be learned well while learning German in Germany, Bahçi said, ‘’We will continue our efforts to learn Turkish here. We also recommend parents to make sure that their children take Turkish lessons in schools.’’
Declaring that this was the first time they had collaborated with an institute like this, Bahçi said, ‘’Children who grow up multilingual will be very advantageous in terms of education and finding a job in the future.’’
