Students Compete in Turkish in Sarajevo

A Turkish competition has been held among the 7th, 8th and 9th graders at the public school in Sarajevo Canton, who were learning Turkish as part of the "My Choice is Turkish" project implemented by Yunus Emre Institute in in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The reading, writing and speaking skills of the 39 students who participated in the competition were assessed.

The winners were given their awards at the ceremony held at Yunus Emre Institute's Sarajevo Branch Culture and Art House. Yunus Emre Institute's Sarajevo Branch Director Mehmet Akif Yaman delivered a keynote speech during the ceremony and thanked the students who selected Turkish as their foreign language. "By attending this event, you have shown that you are good at what you do and you love Turkish. Every student who learns Turkish is special to us whether s/he wins the first place or not," he said.

The students who came the first was given a tablet while those who came the second and the third received gift packages.
